Normally, you can enter the canopy configuration page by typing this address in your web browser's address bar: 169.254.1.1. However, certain situations could prevent you from entering the page - either your canopy configuration page gets blocked or it's IP address gets replaced (happens when SmartBro technicians paid you a visit and tinkered with your connection). If that happens, you can still get into your canopy settings by using the following method:
- Open "Control Panel" then "Network Connections";
- Right-click a local area connection icon (one connected to SmartBro) then select "Properties";
- Double-click the "Internet Protocol TCP/IP";
- Check the "Use the following IP address" and set the IP address to 10.20.30.40, and subnet mask to 255.0.0.0 then click "OK";
- Go to the "Start" menu and click "Run";
- Type "cmd" in the box and press "Enter" to open the command prompt window;
- Type "arp -a" then press "Enter" and take note of the IP address in this format: 10.x.x.x, which is your new canopy address (not 10.0.0.1 by the way);
- Open your web browser then type the "new" canopy address in the bar then press "Enter".
